Encouragement Corner
On February 13, 2019, I remember waking up at 6:30 am to head out to do my morning fasted cardio. I got dressed and opened the door only to find out that it was raining outside and it was very cold. I sighed to myself as I contemplated whether or not I felt like going out there and doing these 3 miles of cardio with the weather the way that it was.
As I stood there under my awning by the front door, I thought about going back in the house and just calling it a day. But then I thought about the weight-loss journey that I'm on and my goal of wanting to step on the stage for my first Figure competition. I went back in the house, got a hat, a pair of gloves and a scarf. I put them on along with my headphones and I was on my way to do my cardio!
There will be times when we may not feel like completing a task or objective because the circumstances may look the way that we want it to. This is when you have to go within and make the decision about why you decided to do the task in the first place. Understand that life will happen, but at the same time, if you continue to focus on your goal you CAN accomplish it. You have to keep going.
The question is: How bad to you want it?
